Winning
Blog. Did you know there is a website that has links to
blogs written by UUs all over the country? They just gave
out awards for different categories of blogs found here.
If you scroll down to Best New Blog, you will see that "Mom,
What's For Dinner?" won first place. That happens to
be the blog of Anne Larocca, who's active with the Green
Sanctuary group at UU Fellowship of San Dieguito in Solana
Beach. Anne encourages Cluster UUs to check out http://uupdates.net
because there is lots of good reading there. "I am pretty
excited about this," says Anne.

On KPBS. Last fall, the San Diego UU Cluster sponsored spots
on the immensely popular program "Car Talk" during
the weekends on KPBS. For the next 13 weeks, UU spots will
continue to be heard on Saturdays on KPBS but on the program "A Way with Words." There will be two UU spots on Saturday
from noon to 1 p.m.
Going
Classical. In addition to KPBS, UU spots may also be heard
on 104.9 FM, San Diego's leading classical music
station. There will be five 15-second spots each Saturday
between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. In addition, a banner ad on the
station's website (www.xlnc1.org) will link to the Cluster
website (www.uusandiego.org). The station recently moved
from 90.7 FM (where it had been for eight years) to 104.9
FM, a new frequency with less static and better reception,
particularly in North County. "Please let us know if
you hear them," says Len Pellettieri, a member of the
Cluster who has worked on the spots with KPBS and XLNC. "We
need feedback."
