Photo. Standing on the Side of Love. During a recent Friday evening, members of Palomar UU Fellowship in Vista made 181 breakfast burritos in their kitchen. The next two mornings they took them and bottles of water to day laborers at sites in Vista, Encinitas, Bonsall, Oceanside and San Marcos. And they put up their new banner Sunday outside the Fellowship, facing the street and the entrance for the first time. More of Dick Eiden's photos when you click on the above photo.

News Update. The Ministering With Technology project - the brilliant creation of Rob and Carol Molek of Chalice UU Congregation—held its first meeting recently. “We're very happy with the outcome,” said Carol. “This is just the beginning!” The project brings together several congregations from the Pacific Southwest District, including three in San Diego County (Chalice, First Church and Summit).

Quotable. “We cannot pretend we have nothing to do with the creation of the (immigration) problem. We are all in this together. Who has the moral right to be here? It is easy to determine who has a legal right. Never confuse a legal right with a moral right.” —Rev. Peter Morales, President of the Unitarian Universalist Association.

Generosity. At Chalice UU Congregation, Susan Spoto (chilirad@cox.net; 858/486- 7873) collects used wine and champagne corks which she gives to a specialized recycler for floor tiles and other products.
