Join us for an evening of music with Indiana singer-songwriter-poet, Carrie Newcomer! SUUN (San Diego UU Network) is co-sponsoring this concert with UUFSD in Solana Beach on February 13, 2016 at 7:30 PM in Founders Hall. Carrie has been described as "a soaring songstress" by Billboard Magazine, a "prairie mystic" by the Boston Globe, and Rolling Stone wrote that she "asks all the right questions." In the 2009 and 2011, Newcomer toured India as a cultural ambassador for the American Embassy. In 2011, she released her interfaith collaborative benefit album "Everything is Everywhere" with world master of the Indian Sarod, Amjad Ali Khan. A recent PBS interview provides a glimpse of her talent and an insight into why she has been described as "a prominent voice for progressive spirituality, social justice, and interfaith dialogue.
